Getting to Pärnu, Estonia: Transportation Options and Travel Tips

To reach Pärnu, your best options are either by bus or car, as the city has fewer transportation methods compared to Tallinn. If traveling from Tallinn, a direct bus journey of 90 minutes is available. Alternatively, you can rent a car from Tallinn's airport and enjoy a scenic drive to Pärnu. Please note that there is a small airport in the city, but flights are limited to and from Ruhnu and Helsinki.

Car

Enjoy the freedom of driving around Pärnu by renting a car from Tallinn's airport and exploring the city at your own pace. Please note that car rentals are not available in the resort city itself.

Bike/Electric Scooters

Embrace an eco-friendly way of getting around Pärnu by renting bikes or electric scooters. Conveniently rent them from kiosks on sidewalks using QR codes or through apps like Bolt. To save time, make sure to download and set up the rental apps with your credit card in advance.

Taxi

In Pärnu, Uber is not widely used. Instead, rely on local taxi agencies such as Elektritakso, E-Takso, Pärnu Takso, and Bolt. Before getting in a cab, inquire about the estimated fare for your destination. Most taxis start with a minimum charge of around 5.50 euros and then apply a fixed rate per kilometer.

Bus

Discover Pärnu's charm with the convenient bus network that covers the entire city. Purchase a 1-hour ticket for 3 euros or opt for a reloadable pass card for just 2 euros.
