And then figure how tf I’m getting back up 😅

Travel changed how I think about ambition.

I’m still very ambitious and care about my career, but I care just as much about balance, freedom, and building a life that actually feels good to live.

The ladder I’m climbing just looks different.

How am I supposed to sit at a 9–5 when the world looks like this?

Travel has a way of stretching your perspective. It reminds you there’s more out there, more ways to live, more rhythms beyond the routine. Even when you’re back home, those moments stay with you and quietly change how you move through everyday life.

The challenge isn’t choosing between work and travel. It’s figuring out how to build a life that makes room for both.

And I’m still figuring it out, and that’s okay :)

There’s a version of you that only shows up when you travel.

Not because travel changes who you are, but because it strips away the noise.

It’s the version that’s more curious, more patient, more present.

The one that listens before speaking.
That learns through experience instead of assumption.
That feels a little closer to who you were meant to be.

Cultural travel isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about remembering parts of yourself that get lost in routine and letting place, people, and perspective bring them back.

Travel deeper. Travel with intention

2025 looked different for me.

Less hopping around, more learning how to stay still.

It was my first full year back in the States after years of living abroad nomadic-style, and instead of measuring life by flights and stamps, I learned how to measure it by balance.

By routines.

By showing up consistently.
By finding meaning in everyday places instead of chasing the next destination.

I still traveled, just closer to home. And in doing so, I learned that adventure doesn’t disappear when you slow down. it just changes shape.

Growth came from building a life, and placing a foundation.

From learning how to rest without guilt.
From being grateful for the quiet chapters as much as the loud ones.

I’m ending this year grounded, grateful, and ready for what’s next in 2026. I’m especially ready for continuing the growth of @kultura.travel and @puttheguidebookdown

Here’s to carrying the lessons forward and welcoming whatever 2026 brings, near or far 🥂
