Don’t get stuck paying for a $100 taxi 🚕 after leaving the tulip parade in the Netherlands 🌷

Every April, over 20 floats with millions of tulips on display celebrate the beauty and history of tulips on the Netherlands.

In 2024, I went to the Netherlands to catch a glimpse of this famous event and was hit with these 3 surprises (watch the video to learn my mistakes).

🌷 Parade Route & Towns

1. Noordwijk (Start at 9:00 AM)
2. Voorhout
3. Sassenheim
4. Lisse (near Keukenhof Gardens)
5. Hillegom
6. Bennebroek
7. Heemstede
8. Haarlem (Arrival around 9:30 PM)

Be sure to make time to pop over to the tulip fields before or after the parade to take your photos with the tulips 💐

❌SKIP TRAM 28 in LISBON🙅🏼‍♀️🚋

Yes, I waited the 2 hours in line to pay ~$2 and ride the famous/infamous tram 28 in Lisbon. Was it worth it? ABSOLUTELY NOT!

Even if we ignore the rare probability of a bus breaking down on the tram’s rails after we were on it for only 5 stops and then having to get off after waiting for an hour, tram 28 is crammed, a long wait, and you’ll most likely be standing for the entire ride.

➡️Consider one of the other options I list as an alternative to save your time and to not get caught in the tourist trap.
