KiX on Main

Located right in downtown, this is one of the go-to spots for locals and tourists due to the location, delicious food, and roof-top seating. It’s not New York City, but you still get a great view of the city.

Rose Tavern

Inside the Lake House on Canandaigua, this elegant restaurant has great food to match the beautiful view of the lake. This restaurant is popular, so make sure to make reservations in advance on their website.

Rheinblick German Restaurant

Craving German food? Look no further, Rheinblick is the match for you. This restaurant is in downtown Canandaigua with indoor and outdoor seating. The original owners of the restaurant came over to the United States and established this restaurant before they retired. It is now operated by their sons, maintaining their family’s traditional food and recipes.

Simply Crepes

Not only does it serve delicious coffee and breakfast, but it also serves lunch-inspired crepes and dessert crepes. This location fills up fast year-round. Be sure to make reservations in advance if possible.

Enjoy yummy Italian food with good-sized portions. Located near Peacemaker Brewery and Canandaigua Lake, this restaurant is perfect for refueling after a long day at the lake.

One of my personal favorites is Sakura, a Japanese hibachi restaurant. Dine either with the hibachi dinner show or in their general dining room. Their service is extremely efficient with friendly staff.

Nolan’s on Canandaigua Lake

In a newly renovated building, this restaurant is a local go-to spot and is often crowded. Their cuisines is focused on American and Seafood dishes.

Wegmans

Ok, it’s not a formal restaurant but if you didn’t visit Wegmans then did you even visit Upstate New York? Every tourist and local will rave about Wegman’s food and products. Depending on which location you visit, there may be a formal restaurant placed inside. If not, then be sure to visit one of their food bars to grab a dish to enjoy in their dining room or to go.

Cheshire Farms Creamery

Not quite a restaurant, but a local favorite for dessert. This is voted by locals as the best ice cream in Canandaigua. Choose from their large selection of hand-made ice creams and many toppings.
