Wine and donuts?!? Yes, you read that correctly! Pindar Vineyards, located on the North Fork of Long Island, has added a new twist to the classic wine tasting experience. Partnering with the North Fork Doughnut Company (NoFoDoCo) Pindar Vineyards pairs three of their elegant wines with gourmet doughnuts, to take your taste buds on an adventure. As part of celebrating my 21st birthday, my mom and I decided to try this unique wine tasting experience. A little skeptical with how wine and doughnuts paired together, we both decided to try it out. We both signed up, bought our tickets, and then showed up a week later with open minds! Continue below for my guide to the wine and donut tasting at Pindar Vineyards.

    Where to Purchase Tickets

Reservations are required! Due to the popularity of the event, be sure to visit Pindar Vineyards website to book your tasting far in advance because they do sell out fast! Tickets for the tasting are around $25 per person with three sessions at 12 noon, 1:30pm, and 3:30pm.

    What to Expect

Upon arrival, park in the front lot. Check in at the counter near the exit and have your temperature checked due to the pandemic. Then, head to the donut and wine pairing area behind the wine tasting counter. For safety, designated areas with placemats, glasses, utensils, and donuts are set up for each party, separated by plastic dividers to ensure social distancing.

The tasting expert will check you in and direct you to your party’s seating location. Once seated, prepare to go on a journey through the history of Pindar vineyards and learn about the selected pairings for the day. The history and information about the pairing from the wine expert is about 10-15 minutes. Afterwards, you are able to sit back, relax and enjoy the wine and donuts! Due to the three time slots for tasting, you’re able to stay at the tasting spot until they turn over for the next group, but you’re welcome to continue the tasting at their indoor or outdoor seating.

    Conclusion

A wine and donut tasting at Pindar Vineyards is a delectable journey for your taste buds. Experience a diverse wine selection paired with mouthwatering donuts, combining the best of both worlds. Whether you’re a wine connoisseur or seeking a delightful outing, this unique tasting leaves you with sweet memories and a greater appreciation for pairing. Don’t miss the opportunity to savor the flavors at Pindar Vineyards, where wine and donuts unite in perfect harmony. Cheers to a tasteful adventure!
