Getting to Larnaca, Cyprus: Transportation Options and Travel Tips

Since Cyprus is an island in the middle of the Mediterranean, the best way to travel to Cyprus is by plane. There are four major airports on the island and Larnaca has its own airport that is located 20 minutes from the city center. If you’re traveling from Turkey, there is a ferry from southern Turkey to northern Cyprus that runs periodically, but it does have a long travel time.

When I visited Larnaca, I was traveling from Ungheni, Moldova. I took a 2 hour bus to Iași, Romania, and then flew directly to Larnaca. It took me a total of 7 hours to travel between the two methods of transportation.
