In the Finger Lakes region, we have a large selection of wineries and breweries. Some cities and towns even put together a brewery trail during the summer. After a fun day at the lake, end the night the right way with a good drink. Below are my top 5 best places for drinks in Canandaigua to hang out and grab a drink with friends:

    Star Cider

Perfect for all hard cider fans! This is my absolute favorite spot for cider. Star Cidery offers a large variety of ciders with every color of the rainbow, and flavors in your wildest dreams. My personal favorite, and their most popular drink, is called Dream Catcher and is a bright purple. After ordering your drink, walk out back for their large variety of seating with yard games and live music. Dogs are welcome outside.

    Twisted Rail Brewing

Enjoy a drink right by the lake. Twisted Rail offers a large variety of beer and cocktails for you to enjoy as you watch the kayakers and paddle boarders move through the canal.

    Young Lion Brewing Company

This brewery is conveniently located right across from Kershaw Park and has the friendliest staff. Young Lion allows dogs on the outdoor patio during the summer.

    Peacemaker Brewing Company

My other absolute favorite spot for a drink, Peacemaker, is still relatively new to the area at three years old, and is now one of the go-to spots for locals. They offer a variety of beer and ciders for you to choose from. During the summer, they open their outdoor patio for fire pits and live music. Dogs are welcome outside on their patio. Be sure to try my favorite snack, salt bread and their delicious garlic and tomato sauce.

Frequentem Brewing Company in Canandaigua, New York. Best places for drinks in Canandaigua.

    Frequentem Brewing Company

Located downtown, this brewing company has a simple-elegant interior with bright lights. They offer a selection of beers, wines, and snacks with both indoor and outdoor seating. During the fall they have small outdoor fire pits to help keep you warm while you hang out.

Get ready to experience Canandaigua’s lively night life! After years of hopping around the Canandaigua area, these are confirmed to be the best places for drinks in Canandaigua.
