    Frikadeller

Danish meatballs! Often eaten with potatoes or served on top of a Smørrebrød.

    Hotdogs

Yep, you read that correctly. Hotdogs! Danish hotdogs are healthier than American hotdogs. They’re made with no chemicals and little to no fat. You can add a variety of toppings and have the bun served in the traditional form or in the bun with the top of the roll cut off, similar to pigs in a blanket.

    Carlsberg Beer

Taste one of the leading beers in the world, created and founded in Copenhagen. You can even take a tour of the facility and visit the headquarters while enjoying a cold one.

    Flæskesteg

One of Denmark’s national dishes, this meal is a classic during the Christmas holiday season and consists of fried or roasted pork with bay leaves, clove, and boiled potatoes with spices.

    Pickled Herring

I’ll be honest, I did not try this dish since I don’t eat fish. However, it has been on menus dating back to the Viking era so it is a popular favorite among locals. The pickled herring is most often served on rye bread and accompanied by bay leaves, onion salad, and eggs.
