Surround yourself with beautiful beaches, turquoise water, and delicious food in Cyprus! Immerse into the Greek and Turkish culture all within kilometers next to each other, with activities for every style of traveler. Cyprus may seem like a small island, but it has plenty of things to do in any weather, and a plethora of UNESCO heritage sites. Here’s my list of the top 5 best places to visit in Cyprus:

    Lefkara

The home for the famous Cypriot traditional lace, called “lefkaritika.” The village has been working hard to preserve their history and traditional lace making, but only 8 of the artisans are alive today. Additionally, the town is filled with handicrafts for every shopper and the Church of the Holy Cross with a piece of Cross of the Lord

    Tombs of the Kings

No, I’m not talking about Egypt. Cyprus has its own underground tombs dating back to the Hellenistic and Roman periods! While only high-ranking officials and the aristocracy received burial here, the grand decorations and intricate carvings are what bestow this UNESCO heritage site with its grand name.

    Agios Lazaros

Located in Larnaca, this stone church stands tall in the city center exhibiting Byzantine architecture. The church, constructed entirely from stone, boasts a beautiful interior and houses six precious and ancient icons dating back to the 16th century. The churchgoers carry Saint Lazarus’s tomb through the streets in a procession eight days before Easter.

MUSAN Museum of Underwater Sculpture Ayia Napa

An incredible underwater scenery with an even better mission to act as an artificial reef to bring sea life back to Cyprus. MUSAN is an underwater forest of over 93 sculptures and can be viewed either by scuba diving or snorkeling. Installed by the artist Jason deCaires Taylor, this underwater installation is the first kind in the world.

    Cape Greco National Park

A perfect combination of hiking and beach relaxation. Here, you can visit the birthplace of Aphrodite, take in the views from the cliffs, the ‘Cyclops’ cave, and more historical sites along the various hiking paths. Many tours offer boat tours of the park’s coastline and scuba diving. Be ready to take lots of photos!

The top 5 best places to visit in Cyprus promise an unforgettable journey through this Mediterranean paradise. From historic wonders to stunning beaches, Cyprus offers a diverse range of experiences to create lasting memories for every traveler.
